At the Guardian, we have a pretty large list of web platforms that span multiple technologies and very little time to support them. This is the story of how in one of them we implemented a component library and shared design patterns and tokens as we progressively updated parts of our website, what we learned from it, how we sold everybody from the developers to the business on board, and how the learnings here fed into our current design system work.
